Why did TikTok get banned in the USA

In August 2020, Trump stated that he wanted to ban TikTok, citing concerns about Chinese surveillance and the threat the app allegedly poses to US national security.

November 2023, Jonathan Greenblatt, the CEO and National Director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), comments on TikTok were leaked and discussed. The ADL was founded in 1913 by N’nai B’rith, a Jewish service organization, in response to an increase in antisemitic activities in the United States.

In January 2025, proceedings began in the US Supreme Court, where TikTok presented its arguments that TikTok is a vital instrument for freedom of expression in the country.
The judge’s position in the Supreme Court indicates support for maintaining the proposal to ban TikTok in the United States. TiKTok’s lawyers in the US believe that the law is a major restriction on freedom of expression.

The fact the United States is banning TikTok for Israel while Israel hasn’t even banned TikTok is hilarious — like, do US citizens still not realize what’s going on? You’re being brainwashed to support crimes the rest of the world opposes, and we can all see it.
