10 Institutions Accuse Israel of Genocide in Gaza

Pablo Picasso’s famous Guernica (1937) was remade in the colors of the Palestinian flag by students of an art school in the Basque Country
Israel’s Genocide of Palestinians in Gaza is erasing their civilization’s 5000-year history in real-time before our eyes.

Germany, always on the wrong side of history, after the US, is Israel’s largest weapon supplier

The list of humanitarian institutions that accuse Israel of genocide now includes:

1. UN Commission finds Israel has committed genocide in the Gaza Strip
Israel has committed genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel said in a new report today.

The international community cannot stay silent on the genocidal campaign launched by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza. When clear signs and evidence of genocide emerge, the absence of action to stop it amounts to complicity.
Navi Pillay, Chair of the Commission

2. International Association of Genocide Scholars: Calls upon the government of Israel to immediately cease all acts that constitute genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity against Palestinians in Gaza, including deliberate attacks against and killing of civilians including children; starvation; deprivation of humanitarian aid, water, fuel, and other items essential to the survival of the population; sexual and reproductive violence; and forced displacement of the population;

3. B’Tselem (Israeli) OUR GENOCIDE (report) – Israel’s regime of apartheid and occupation is inextricably bound up in human rights violations. B’Tselem strives to end this regime, as that is the only way forward to a future in which human rights, democracy, liberty, and equality are ensured to all people, both Palestinian and Israeli, living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.

4. Physicians for Human Rights-Israel (Israeli) Genocide in Gaza. This report documents the Israeli assault for what it is: a deliberate, cumulative, and ongoing dismantling of Gaza’s healthcare system – and of the population’s ability to survive. Its meaning: genocide.

5. Amnesty International

As Israeli authorities and forces intensify their brutal campaign of annihilation, particularly in Gaza City, the UN Commission of Inquiry’s damning report provides further confirmation of what Amnesty International and others have been concluding for months: that the Israeli authorities and Israeli forces have committed and are continuing to commit genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
Amnesty International’s Secretary General, Agnès Callamard

6. Doctors Without Borders: Doctors cannot stop genocide; world leaders can. More than one million people in Gaza are facing renewed terror after receiving an emergency order to evacuate Gaza City ahead of a major ground offensive by the Israeli military. For many, escape is impossible – the elderly, critically unwell, heavily pregnant, or wounded. Those left behind have been handed a death sentence.  Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is clear: Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and doing so with absolute impunity.

7. European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR)

If persons originating from Germany are suspected of involvement in war crimes, there is a clear mandate for the judiciary to act. The targeted killing of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip is a blatant violation of international criminal law. Germany is obliged under international law to independently investigate and prosecute such acts. There must be no double standards – even if the perpetrators are members of the Israeli armed forces or if the government in question has a special political partnership with Germany.Dr. Alexander Schwarz, Co-Director of the International Crimes program at the ECCHR

8. Human Rights Watch: HRW and More Than 80 Organizations Call on Congress to Uphold US Law and Suspend Security Assistance to Israel

9. International Federation for Human Rights: Calls for the protection of humanitarian activists sailing to Gaza aboard all the Global Sumud Flotilla

10. Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention: October 18, 2023. The Lemkin Institute calls for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be indicted by the International Criminal Court for the crime of genocide.
