You Will Not Erase Us

Oxford Union

Susan Abulhawa speaks in proposition of the motion that This House Believes Israel is an Apartheid State Responsible for Genocide. This is the seventh speaker of eight. Consistent with our existing practice of upholding standards while being mindful of potential legal concerns, sections of the official footage of the Israel/Palestine debate have been removed.

Susan Abulhawa is a Palestinian-American scientist, writer, and activist. Her first novel, Mornings in Jenin, was translated into 32 languages and sold more than a million copies. The sales and reach of her debut novel made Abulhawa the most widely read Palestinian author of all time. Wikipedia

Please explain why you deleted her speech when it had a million views, shortened it, and then reuploaded it?

This isn’t Susan’s original speech; this is a carved-up version that the Israeli lobby has pressured Oxford Union to upload instead of the original so much for Oxford Union being the home of free speech.
