Why is everyone so afraid of calling the president an idiot?

This photo is incredible. You can see the idea percolating in his mind.
“Why has no one thought of this. The answer is right in front of us.
I will say it. I’ll be the hero we need.”

Donald Trump’s thoughts, words, and misdeeds are dangerously and there can no longer be doubt, if there ever was any, they are killing Americans. Tomorrow or Wednesday, the US death toll of coronavirus will exceed the number of Americans lost in the 19-year Vietnam war.

A Presidency which kills people.

The New York Times has analyzed every word Trump spoke at his White House briefings and other presidential remarks on the virus — more than 260,000 words — from March 9, when the outbreak began leading to widespread disruptions in daily life, through mid-April. The transcripts show striking patterns and repetitions in the messages he has conveyed, revealing a display of presidential hubris and self-pity, unlike anything historians, say they have seen before.

By far the most recurring utterances from Trump in the briefings are self-congratulations, roughly 600 of them, which are often predicated on exaggerations and falsehoods.

The briefings became so problematic — especially after Trump’s dangerous suggestion last week that injecting disinfectant could help people who are sick with the virus — that the White House is now considering limiting them.

I do it to discredit you all and demean you all so when you write negative stories about me no one will believe you.

Trump’s Corona czar Mike Pence, with a terrible public health record, sticks to the NRA / GOP strategy of “thoughts and prayers”.

See how a comma instead of colon will make a whole different meaning of these clips:

And is it true that no one saw a pandemic coming?

Would you trust any of these people to walk your dog? If this passes your smell test you should probably be tested for Coronavirus.
