
Michael Parenti (1933 – 2026): The Inconvenient Public Intellectual
The USA does not make regime changes around the world to support democracy. The CIA leads regime changes, often puts a dictator in place, so that the USA can exploit the nation’s natural resources and cheap labour.
Michael Parenti sharply criticized imperialism, capitalism, and corporate power, he insisted that politics must be examined through the lens of class interests and material conditions.
